Gutenberg v Elementor?

So, I’m in the process of moving my WordPress site production from Elementor to the buit-in Gutenberg editor to try and improve page speed.

I’m finding Gutenberg not nearly as flexible as Elementor for some things, but if you keep it simple, results are impressive. This new UncleSimon site is built entirely using standard Gutenberg tools and Kadence theme as a starting point. There’s been a bit of head-scratching and sometimes weird behaviour to sort out, but I think it’s getting there.

I have a major revamp of the Sandy Bear website planned, and that may well be my first major Gutenberg challenge as it is quite a large site …and likely to get larger still.
